Dear Converse Low Tops…

…I thought you were the best shoe out there.  Affordable, available in multiple colors, utilitarian, diffusing a sense of “this is what all the cool kids wear”…in my mind, you were the best.  But I’m just going to come out and say it.  I’m moving on.

I used to think that your lack of comfort padding, shoddy construction, and dozen eyelets were charming, but I’m getting older and I’m just looking for a comfortable, reliable shoe that makes me feel good…a shoe that really understands my needs.  It’s been fun…let’s be…friends?  I don’t know how these things are supposed to go.

P.S.  I’m still kind of a fan of the Converse Low-Top Slip-Ons though.
