Wind Farms in England Generate Power and Their Own Fog. What the what?

England’s not just forward thinking in nation-conquering and tea-drinking, but they’re pretty ahead of their time when it comes to green technologies. Being a miserably cold and wind-blown island nation, England recently decided to put experimental wind farms near its shores early last year.
The benefits of creating wind farms on the ocean’s surface are that they:
- Don’t take up any potential real-estate.
- Are removed from the view of the general public.
- Are within constant sources of wind throughout the year.
A couple of drawbacks to having them on the ocean are:
- Wind turbines require frequent maintenance…putting them in open water makes maintenance that much more difficult.
- Salt water wreaks havoc on metal and non-metal surfaces.
- Uhhh…it makes its own fog.
