[Not too impressive, but one of my favorite places to eat.]
This is actually a 3-star review. It’s an unassuming building on the inside and out, the tables are slightly sticky with grease, there’s no air conditioning, it takes about 15 minutes for you to get your order up; but it’s one of my favorite places to eat within the valley. It’s a simple place, a simple cuisine, and I guess it fits my inner Cockney. Whenever you can’t make up your mind about where to go eat, choosing Fish and Chips is a nice change of pace.

[Pollack is a firm whitefish that makes excellent F&C…or just F.]
Well, when you first walk in, you’re caught off-guard a little bit by the Japanese couple that run the joint. They’re an elderly couple that’s been running Fish and Chips since the ’60s, and honestly they do a really good job of it. The menu’s probably got 10 items on it and 9 of those items are fried. I’ve tried most of the things on the menu, and I’ve gotta say that the fish and chips are the things to get. They’ve got fried shrimp and fried clams, but the orders are usually too small to get full off of.

[The fish here is like booty in a hip-hop video: THICK!!]
Now onto the good points. This place knows how to do Fish and Chips well. The fish is always fried a golden brown and has the perfect amount of crunch before opening up to the moist fish underneath. The fries are plain by themselves, but crazy flavour possibilities open up when you soak everything in Malt Vinegar and then dip liberally into tartar sauce and speak to yourself in a bad British accent.
If you want some simple food that’s awesome in its simplicity, grab your bowler, sweep them chimneys, and give a ‘eh ‘oh to your local gov’na and get some fish and chips. Directions…
