Century Gothic Font Saves Ink/Toner

I have a thing for typefaces.  Most people refer to them as ‘fonts’, but whatever you may call them, I believe that each typeface (or ‘font’) has a certain imbued characteristic about them and each person’s affinity or characterized use of them may or may not say something about them or their writing…may or may not, but actually may.

I personally have latched onto the Verdana typeface for quite a while.  Simple.  Clean.  Absent of any extra curves, notches, or accents.  Chosen for its simple utility.  Probably the same characteristics the designers at IKEA see represented in this typeface…all of their catalogs, store notecards, pricing details and indexes in 2009 are all in…you guessed it…Verdana.

Futura is an amazingly similar font which seems to have attracted the likes of graphics designers, independent film and music auteurs, and anyone that hangs out with frequent users/owners of Adobe Creative Suite 4, a Bamboo Tablet, or actually does layouts with a MacBook Pro (using a $2500 computer to browse Facebook and use the ‘funny faces’ feature with the webcam are disqualified).

Wes Anderson characteristically uses capitalized Futura typeface for all of his titles and credits, and it’s a permanent signature of his style.  And now everyone that wants some indie cred who is also willing to download this non-standard font that so closely resembles a close mix between the Verdana and Arial typefaces are a part of the ‘indie’ club.

[YES~!!  The best $2500 my parents spent for my education.  I also have no idea how to use anything but Safari and Photo Booth~!!  Thanks Mom and Dad…now I can make friends instantly study~!!]

But back to my original point.  Printing with the CenturyGothic typeface will save you 30% in ink/toner over the Arial typeface, and looks just as crisp and stylish as the rest.  Those savvy enough to use and recognize this typeface will reciprocate the characteristics of resourcefulness and utility along with whatever they happen to write.

[By the way] I hate Apple, and I will dump on MacBooks at every opportunity.  But I have been warming to iPods recently.
