S06E11 - No Reservations “Techniques Special”

S06E11 - No Reservations “Techniques Special”
Originally aired April 5, 2010

I only have a couple of literary heroes in my life.  In no particular order: Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Paine, and Anthony Bourdain.  I like reading these guys’ writings because they’re smart, original, funny, and easy to read (not necessarily in content, but in their style and engagement of the reader).  That whole first part was an ADD-fueled digression, but Bourdain has a pretty killer travel show called No Reservations, where he usually travels, writes, and eats; pretty awesome life.  But Bourdain deviates a little bit in this post because he’s taking a break from his travel show to showcase some more than capable chef friends to reveal basic technique of their beloved craft.

He’s going to narrate and interject as chefs Jacques Pepin, Scott Conant, Laurent Tourondel, Dave Pasternak, and Thomas Keller all demonstrate proper technique de cuisine that they have perfected over the course of doing it well thousands of times over. Here’s a sneak preview video…I want to find a download source and get cracking.
