Candle + Water = I Almost Burned My House Down

So yesterday I lit a candle and some string fell inside so the fire started to get pretty big.  I thought this was getting to be a dangerous situation so I decided that the smartest thing to do would be to put some water on it too cool things down.

I completely forgot that adding water to boiling oils causes crazy flare-ups.  There’s even a wikipedia page about this.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wax_fire

Well…I got the fire put out, but I did feel bad about almost burning down my house and having all of my clothes smell like smoke.  It wasn’t all bad though; I learned a very important lesson.  I am slightly dangerous.
