Hey, Party People! I’ve been…hibernating (?)
Sorry folks, I know it’s been a while. And after all of the threatening phone calls and letter bombs, I’ve finally decided that it’s time to get back on the .org.

[“I know I peed on the rug…but c’mon, I’m a friggin’ puppy~!”]
Now a lesser man would find a whole lotta excuses about why I’ve taken more than 2 months off; but I won’t do that. I could talk about the mountains of stress that have made it impossible for me to write anything online for 64 days, but that would just be petty, extremely petty. So here’s a list of excuses that I could’ve used, but chose not to.
Possible Excuses that someone could’ve used, but that I didn’t use:
- Worldwide and Personal Economic Turmoil (well…99.3% personal).
- The stress of
presidential candidates,president-elect, new guy in office. - Crazy health issues - I caught Death’s flu, and sliced up my thumb.
- Melancholy - did you know that melancholy was originally a deadly sin? Theologian Thomas Aquanis phrased it best by calling it ”an oppressive sorrow, which, to wit, so weighs upon man’s mind, that he wants to do nothing.“ Or the intro to the melancholia wiki page, “a mood disorder of non-specific depression characterized by low levels of enthusiasm and eagerness for activity.“ Well, I wouldn’t say that it’s non-specific, but I guess it’s a mix of growing up slower than my body (?). Wait, that sounds dumb. Aging, but not so good (?) I don’t wanna grow up, I’m a Toys ‘[backwards R] Us Kid (?) The curious case of Benjamin Button, but without the backwards aging…wait…that’s the entire premise of the movie…how long is this melancholy blurb gonna go on for? I think my laundry’s done. And about laundry; if we can put man on the moon and engineer human organs out of petri dishes, how come we haven’t had the advances in technology that let my wash colors and whites in the same load? C’mon people, let’s {Brown v. Board of Education} clothes washing. Did I go too far with that? I miss studying supreme court cases. They’re freaking dry for the most part, but have some of the greatest reasoning on paper that I’ve ever seen. Even Judge Scalia right now; he’s one of the most ardent legal conservatives to hold the judgeship of the high court. A lot of people don’t agree with him, but you’ve got to stand back and at least understand where he’s coming from after you see his opinions and dissents. I’m rambling again. Oh yeah…my laundry finished a couple of minutes ago.
- Applying to Graduate School…and dealing with the commitment issues that come with that. Dood…I’m actually moving in the direction of a career. Those are big-boy phrases that I’m not sure I’m ready for.
- Laziness.
- Fear (of bees, needles, anything that doesn’t do with sleeping in bed).
- …Ghosts? (I don’t know anymore…)
Well, I’m back on the horse.
More explosions, more excitement, more everything in 2009.
